About

Jenny Edwards was born in Manchester, raised in Aberdeen and has been an East Londoner for 8 years. A graduate of Robert Gordon's University's Grays school of Art, Jenny has a depth of experience in wide-ranging mediums suitable for all ages.

In the early 2000's, Jenny dedicated three summers to the campers of Camp Wise, an overnight Jewish summer camp in Chardon, Ohio. Whilst there, she designed the arts and crafts program for hundreds of campers (ages 7-16) which included introducing Batik, Ceramics and Lino Printing to the arts program. Needless to say, she has overseen the creation of 1000+ tie dye shirts!

Nowadays, her art is born from the influences of living and working in East London, with it's rich and vibrant graffiti culture. A member of the East London Printmakers (ELP), Jenny is a keen screen printer and spray paint artist.

Inspired by local and characterful magpies, Jenny began developing her own style of energy, rebellion and challenging tradition. Her series of works is an interpretation of the rhyme "one for sorrow, two for joy". The collection portrays each line of the rhyme as an individual artwork, which features superstitious symbols with an emphasis on outdated misrepresentation of both gender and perception.

Jenny also creates bespoke screen prints and regularly exhibits as part of the ELP community.
